Home Reading

Many students have been reading at home and returning their books. If you have misplaced your reading books, and would like to begin again, please let me know. I will be happy to send a new set home!

Spelling
|
Our spelling tests now include some word family words as well as some sight words. This Wednesday our spelling words are twin, grin, win, thin, pin, who, are, did.

 Sight Words
|
Please continue to practice sight words at home with your child. You can use the word cards that have been sent home. These can be used at home to practice word recognition, reading and spelling. Your and your child can have fun using these cards to play 'Fish', or other memory and matching games. You can also put these cards onto a 'word ring' for daily practice. Additional words cards continue to be sent home on Fridays to support our in class reading and spelling.

Raz Kids! |
If you go to the Bertha Kennedy website, your child can select the link for 'Raz Kids'. Once on this site, use the teacher password 'Cathy5' to access my site. Your child can then select their reading program and read at home!
